That logo that he is presenting as acceptable, happens to be a bird wearing a Native American headdress...Shouldn't he be against the damn headdress part of the logo first?

Thanks for the links, I wasn't aware of that "group". I agree with you, I read the articles and the writer is complaining about all sorts of native american stereotypes being present in Chicago on statues. Some of the things described would make the writer appear to be a huge hypocrite for endorsing a bird wearing a stereotypical headdress.

I think the best approach would be for the team and fans to discourage headdresses, face paint, and all that. Credit where it's due, I haven't seen a great deal of that in the stands, but just make sure that it's not a part of the fandom at all. Being a Hawks fan isn't about pretending to be an Indian, it's about sitting on your hands in disappointed silence because you paid out the ass for your tickets and the team is down 1-0.
