I wish the " Odds Makers " wouldn't have done that.....they seem to perform better when they are underdogs.....I am really looking forward to the next 3 years as they rebuild this team and get some CONSISTANCY in place. I hope they can keep thier coaches....

if you're not worried them covering and just about them winning what I saw was as a favorite since 1992 they are 105-51 and over the last 3 years they are 8-4 so they seem to to do just fine as chalks

Cool! I just want to see the progress to continue....I get that they probably won't make the playoffs, and I am ok with that....but I like how this staff has them playing above thier potential. Gives good hope when they get the players they feel can buy into the system they want to implement.

Yeah, maybe they'll only have missed the playoffs five years in a row instead of six.

I think they have been nervous since week 4.

I think we can say less talent is on this team than last year? and yet, somehow, they perform better? If they do get to 8 WINS, Fox is looking at Coach of the Year awards, which I have a feeling he could care less about.

Pretty sure that would qualify.....perform with lesser talent, and overcome other teams with more.....not every coach is blessed with the tallent of a New England, or a Carolina, or a Seattle.....

Not sure about being blessed with it. NE and Seattle are 2 examples of Coaches and GM's working together to acquire a certain type of player. Pitt does the same thing.

Totally agree....

Do the Patriots have a general manager or does Belichick just do whatever he wants? I know Scott Pioli was the Head Office Dude in name, but still more or less reported to Belichick.

This Bears team is more talented than last year. Really only Marshall and Tillman (who's having a decent year in Carolina). Allen, Garza and Briggs are all addition by subtraction at this point. Conte is playing well for Lovie down in Tampa, though.

They added McPhee, Porter, Amos, Grasu, Goldman, Langford, Royal and Jenkins who've all had varying degrees of success. Amos and McPhee really headline the group, two pro bowl caliber defenders right there. Porter has almost been at a pro bowl level himself.

They haven't replaced Marshall (yet anyways) but there's definite upgrades at every other position they suffered a loss at in the offseason. Last year's team was really bad.

The 49ers are terrible, have QB issues, and have not won a road game all year. If the Bears play to their potential, they should win by at least 10.

I'm surprised this number didn't drop after the opening. Bears have one win greater than 4 points and that Ram game was kind of anomalous.
