It's time to stop dressing an AHL roster. Get Garbutt off THE FIRST LINE OF THE BLACKHAWKS (though if the wingers are Garbutt and Shaw, are there bums on the first line or is Toews on the fourth line?), get Mashinter off the team altogether.

Hawks fall below .600, need seven points in the next five (Sens-Jets-Perdsx2-Jets) or things start getting fringey.

Not necessarily. There are six good teams in the Central and one will have to miss. Don't write off the Jets; they finally called up their serious goaltending prospect and have probably seen the last of Ondrej Pavelec blowing numerous games for them. They also don't dress anyone as bad as Brandon Mashinter. Those two Winnipeg games coming up are huge and it doesn't matter which month it is.

Yeah, must have been there when the Wolves were the Thrashers' affiliate. Should have stayed in the AHL for life (though in fairness, he and Hutch played absolutely out of their minds down the stretch to get the Jets into the playoffs last year, but as you'd expect from Pavelec, he turned back to utter shit as soon as the playoffs started).

EDIT: one goal allowed in the Jets' last four regular-season games to knock the Kings out of contention. That was wild stuff.
