The sharp bettors just kicked Vegas in the teeth. They jumped on Detroit +5.5, and came back with GB at -2.5/-3.

We can make jokes about our Bears, but let's face it the Lions are always the butt of the joke when the season is over.

Kind of a weak call on the facemasking to end a game, but then again. WTF are you doing even coming close to FM on that play.

NOT FINISHING

He never grabbed the facemask. The game should have been over. Fucking referees are just awful.

you also gotta credit the lions' defense for not even bothering with the TE and then having like 4-6 guys right behind him as he went up and got the ball. hell james jones was crashing in from the right side in front of the scrum of lions defenders too so he maybe had a chance if rodgers wasn't right there.

seriously, at that point can't you just smear rich-rod and take your chances at a first and goal from the 1 with the game on the line? yeah that aint ideal but it beats what happened.

as fun as it is to see the lions choke, GB winning this game to me basically eliminates the bears from playoff consideration.

WC is GB 8-4, Sea 6-5... since the bears have tiebreaker on no one due to their shitty conf. record, and the fact they have lost to seattle already (not to mention seattle plays @ balt, CLE, STL the next 3 weeks).... it seems very unlikely the bears will be able to pass either WC team.

i still think the packers take the division.... your best bet is minnesota coming back to the WC hunt people, and hey whaddya know i think minnesota has seattle this weekend.... who do you want to win that one?

It was close enough. The Lions had plenty of opportunities to put the game away, but once again, Jim Caldwell took his foot off the gas after they went up 20-0. I'm not going to blame the officials.

In the first half, the defense was getting pressure, and they were playing tight man to man coverage. In the second half, they backed off, and let GB march down the field. That idiot gets to 20 points, and he thinks the game is over. If anything, this should seal Caldwell's fate. I was afraid that they would win too many games down the stretch, and management would give him another shot. He has to go.

Well sure Caldwell should go because h'es fucking terrible...but they lost because of a bad call. All penalties in the last 2 minutes should be reviewed.

They didn't lose because of a bad call. The refs could have called PI on the Lions on that final drive, but didn't. The Lions lost, nothing was taken from them.

Unbelievable win for the Packers, but there are still a lot of problems with the team, especially the offense. Now the injuries are really killing them too, at one point last night they were without 4/5 of their starting offensive line. Hopefully with some extra time off they get some of those guys back, but I still don't like where the team is headed.

Packers look SOFT on both sides of the ball.
Softer than Lacy's midsection.

I cannot remember a fall from grace as precipitous as Lacy's and no one would have predicted it.

It was unequivocally the correct call.

I can still get them in at 9-7 in a relatively sane fashion. They have to beat Minn in week 15 though, and go 4-1 down the stretch. This also assumes the Seahawks lose against Minn and AZ (which may be in "rest our players" mode in week 17.)

if bears go 4-1 and seahawk go 3-2 they have same record... so seahawk win tiebreajer over bear with their head to head win.... or do you think the bears can win some 3 way tiebreaker? i pretty much assume based on their shitty conf. record they aren't going to win that tiebreaker against anyone
