I'm sure Bret Bielema tells his Arkansas guys about what it's like to play in championship games...lord knows it's all a fantasy to them in the SEC...

It has been a great season no matter, enjoy it. As we know, they don't come around often.

Vince, what are your thoughts on this one?

I think Iowa wins it.

Iowa 27 MSU 23

Will I see you at Four Shadows or Merkle's Vince? We'll pick up Biggie on the way.

Could see this going either way, despite MSU having more overall talent and athleticism. Very similar styles of play.

Iowa is going to have to pass effectively to win this game. Beathard is looking healthier of late, but I don't think he is healed enough to be the dual threat that he was earlier this year. He will be 100% for the bowl game (they are planning a surgery to clean up something in the hip and groin that will get him 100%) My heart says Iowa - my mind says MSU. Tight game either way.

Iowa wins by letting the passing game open up the run - work the TE's and slot receivers early to keep LBers at home and limit the amount of pressure MSU sends. If Iowa gets too one dimensional, they are in trouble.

They need to generate pressure up front which they have been struggling with since Drew Ott was injured. Expect to see more blitzing and raider packages when in obvious passing situations.

The matchup I really want to see is WR Burbridge versus CB King - both are 1st teamers and both are studs. Should be a fun one to watch all night.

The guy who won $100,000 from Dr. Pepper during halftime of the ACC Championship game should have been disqualified for how he was throwing the balls. It was like the football equivalent of a two-handed set shot.

Great second effort on that TD run. Both of his blockers missed their assignments.

They did the same thing during the SEC Championship earlier.

Stupid millennials...

That was a once in a lifetime season ended by a once in a lifetime drive. Hats off to MSU. I still wasn't sure of the timeout strategy for Iowa in the final 2 minutes but it probably didn't matter.

The signature play on that drive was Cook's pass on 3rd and long that threaded the needle between the corner and safety. They don't convert that play and they likely punt and Iowa gets a chance to burn all of MSU's timeouts on the next possession.
