You guys remember back in the early age of the vBulletin message boards how it was sort of cool to have "insider knowledge" that you could disseminate anonymously on the internet? There were always a couple people who actually knew something but then there was an actual horde who knew nothing and just wanted to get some attention. You could tell who they were immediately by the language they used. "Just told rumor..." was one of those ways to instantly identify a faker.
