Jay Cutler's brother-in-law has been found dead, as reported Thursday afternoon.

Michael Cavallari - the brother of Cutler's wife, Kristin - was reported missing over last weekend. He was last seen on Nov. 27 in Utah, with his car abandoned about five miles off a highway.

Kristin Cavallari released a statement to E! News:

"We want to thank everyone for their love, support and prayers during this very difficult time," she said. "We have just been informed by the authorities my brother's body has been found. This is a very painful time and we are still processing it all. We kindly ask everyone please respect our privacy during our time of grieving."

They identified him by the absence of inoculation marks.

These stories always fail to mention stuff like "HE WAS ARRESTED DAYS BEFORE THIS HAPPENED", for stalking an ex GF with a loaded Shotgun, then that they found his car on some dirt roads well off the highway.
