All I can say is that the Hawk should bring a fuckload of a better effort tonight than they did on the circus trip against the Nux. Dumb penalties and bad play and finally the Sedins do something and it was one of the worst losses this season to a team that is tied for second worst in the league for regulation wins, but somehow still holding the 3rd playoff spot in their division due to all of the OTs and the retarded playoff structure.

Crawford was for shit in that game on 11/21, but has been pretty great the last few games and will get a chance to redeem himself tonight. Miller in goal for the Nucks, and I think the most overrated goaltender of the last 10 years gets lit up as the Hawk bust out for 5. 5-2 Hawk.

What the fuck do you know about hockey? You didn't even work in a song or say the Hawks suck.

Miller isn't overrated, he's just done. Those Buffalo teams coming out of the lockout were pretty great, it's just that 05-06 and 06-07 constitute a weird Lost Period of the NHL where the game had just been re-engineered for speed and offense but the new young stars hadn't yet risen up, so you had these wack-ass seasons coming from guys like Daniel Briere and Rod Brind'Amour. Also, fucking no one was watching. The Hawks shouldn't have much trouble lighting him up tonight, especially with that turnstile of a blue line in front of him, but lay off a guy who peaked ten years ago.

Yay streak, but that assist for Kane is how Crosby got his "Secondary Sid" nickname. Kane got it to Panarin, Panarin shoots, puck ricochets off the goalpost and back to Panarin, back-and-forths it to Keith, Keith shoots and scores. Whatever, no big deal, he'll get more points tonight.

I've appreciated what Rasmussen has brought. He's been SOLID. Can't say for sure whether he's here to stay, but so far, good to have.

I love watching Panarin play. As much as I love that second line, I wish they could figure out a way to split Panarin and Kane up to try to spread the wealth a bit. Maybe Panarin to the first line and Hoss to the second...?

Brandon Mashinter unequivocally sucks, but with his one NHL goal/point, we won the Kyle Beach trade.

You know we're never getting rid of him now, right?

Q: "hrrmph. Liked what Mash brought. Good grit late. Like what he brings to the dressing room. He's okay. hmph."

I'm pretty sure that Sid held the consecutive points record for active players with 25, until tonight of course.

Well, no further scoring for Kane after all, but St. Louis shut out Dallas last night, so Unfrozen Caveman Scoring Champion didn't get any points for once. That helps.

Once again the award for dipshit Tweet of the night goes to the Committed Indian. Congrats

Crow's two consecutive shutouts behind a blue line with Rundblad, Daley, and TVR is far more impressive than a 26-game point streak.

They've come to hate Trevor van Riemsdyk almost as much as Patrick Kane and he wasn't even accused of rape. It's funny, they bitch their asses off if Foley says anything mildly negative about Teravainen, but then every recap has "TVR fell on his ass in the second period, thus proving why he's not an NHL defenseman and probably never will be." Okay.

Outside of the last couple games Tuevo has pretty much sucked the entire year.

I think his problem is, he is not aggressive. I do not know if you can teach that. Let us remember how old he is though.

Yeah, he's been injured and/or tentative. Just a sophomore slump typical of scoring wingers. He'll be fine, ultimately.

I've been saying for a while now that TVR is a very good third-pair guy and a bad second-pair guy. It's funny how abruptly someone can go from one to the other, but when your stock-in-trade is really nothing more than good hockey IQ, you're going to get exposed in tough minutes, especially on the road, which has happened. It doesn't mean he's not an NHL defenseman, it just means he has to be used properly, as with Andrew Shaw. David Rundblad, on the other hand, is not an NHL defenseman.

Crawford is what, 66/66 over two games? That's not more impressive, but it's damn impressive nevertheless.
