Noah was out so the rotation was about normal. Morotic has to play. He can do more than Gibson offensively. That is obvious. I hope he doesn't try him at the three that hasn't worked. Backup four where he can get 25-30 min. A game is the way to go.

Who would you rather have at this point?

If you were in CoC you could ask him.

Everyone is critical of Mirotic's D but who in the East can handle Money time Mirotic? Lebron? That's it!

So we all agree that this guy emerging is about the only way the Bulls keep the title window open?

He'd have to become dirk for any window to open.

I stand by everything I said about him last year. I wanted him to be better his first season here. But I think he has a great chance to be an All Star this year and is the one player on the team capable of raising the team's collective ceiling. It'll be exciting to watch.

I tried to tell you this last year. You could tell what he could be if you looked beyond his mistakes. He's tough like Nocioni with Dirk's skill set.

You didn't need to. Beyond maybe one or two frustrating games, I never denied his potential. It was obvious before he came over. Considering how polished some overseas players look when they get here, and considering he was the best one, I expected more. I need to see more consistency this year, but that second three pointer midway through the 1st quarter had Dirk/Arvydas written all over it. I'd like to see more of that type of aggressiveness.

He doesn’t lack the confidence. I wouldn't be surprised if he and Butler were the Bulls best offensive players by the end of the season. He's a mismatch on offense for just about everyone.

He still needs someone yelling at him to play defense.

I don't think he will get much better at defense. He lacks lateral movement and he is not big enough to bang as a four. The question I think becomes is he good enough offensively to compensate for his terrible defense. He does rebound well though. That's a plus.

He's definitely big enough to bang with fours. This isn't the 90's. Paul George and Carmelo Anthony are fours. He has room to get better defensively, and I would hope he will eventually, but it's not something I'm expecting to happen any time soon.

The jury is out on whether George can bang with Fours and Carmelo has played three most of his career. He has played some four but Anthony is much stronger than Mirotic.

George and Anthony are playing the four this year, and Anthony primarily played it last year. My point was that your thinking is outdated. Stretch fours are just as common, if not more common, than the traditional power forward. Mirotic doesn't have the tools to be an elite defender, but he's definitely capable of not becoming a liability. It's ok to expect more from him on that end.

George doesn't want to play the four and it is debatable whether that is something that has staying power. Anthony is back to playing the three.

It's not really that outdated. There are still more 4's starting that are non stretch and Mirotic may get pounded having to guard them.

I'm just happy I was as spot on with Mirotic as I was with Arrieta.

Looking at FavreFan's initial Mirotic thoughts is great.

My initial thoughts matched his initial production. Maybe you forgot how he looked last November.

I'm a scout. I'm telling you how they will turn out, with outstanding accuracy. My one Brett Jackson will not mar my future predictions.

Since you're usually slow to recognize when someone takes a leap to the best, I'll give you a free one this time: Todd Gurley is already the best RB in the NFL.

I got emotional after one bad game. My official stance was stud.

I got emotional after many bad games. It happens. My official stance the entire time was that he would eventually be good/really good. I was really high on him before the year started. I thought he would be better than he was initially. I'd like to see him take that next step this year and consistently produce at a high level. Nobody denies the talent is there.

You can't hang this one on Hoiberg. Hoiberg started the guy and allowed him to take all of those stupid three point shots. He also allowed him to play through a significant number of defensive lapses. His shot selection is bad and he takes three pointers 4-5 feet behind the line. I would seriously think of benching him in favor of Portis. His I.Q. is terrible too. I'm actually an advocate of the guy but I think he should be 8-9 man until he figures it out. He should be battling Taj for minutes behind Noah and Portis.

Well...he is already one of the Top 3 Montenegrins to every play in the NBA. So there's that...
