The real problem is you can't really constantly insist the Sox prospects are horseshit and then suddenly say they lost a lot when they trade them. You look ridiculous.

Yes that was my point about all the Trace Thomson angst yesterday. Judging from the Score B&B on yesterday as well as posts I have simply concluded there is just a black cloud over the Sox. I honestly believe they cannot escape the preconceptions and overcome their PR and attendance obstacles.

When was the last time you thought a Cubs prospect was good? I think people were comparing the farm systems. The Sox system is well behind the Cubs. Kenny Beane does a great job bargain shopping though.

Kind of like talking about how much better the system is with the same guys and then trading them and calling them Spare parts.

Thats History,

So whats Tim Anderson? Prospect? Top Tier? or Spare Part? Just want to know for the future..

Those aren't the guys who have bolstered the system. The only one who can even play is Montas.

Anderson needs a position. But unlike Schwarber there are options.

If the #3,4,5 ranked guys in the system dont Bolster the system, its a pretty bad system.

But thats just my opinion.

Where does the Tim Anderson statue go? "Many Options"

Are you saying Anderson and Fulmer are the only legit Sox prospects? What makes them legit? Or are you saying there are lower ranked prospects that make more of a positive impact? If so, why?

The Sox have always drafted pitching, pitching, and more pitching.

The Tim Anderson statue will go in the outfield concourse.

Yes, we know. Jerry hates paying for pitching that has ouchies, so he drafts them. No reason not to, if thats the PLAN

He owns them for cheap until their arms fall off.

I'm saying the guys that got traded arent the third, fourth, and eighth best guys in the system. They're just closer to the big leagues than others. THE INQUISITOR knows that. I'm sure he can explain it.

Trayce Thompson was the future until he was traded and then he became a bum.

Maybe he'll hit a homer on a scoreboard and they can put it there.

Except no Sox fan said that. He might end up being a nice player, but nobody to build around. He is also 25 years old.

Nice try though.

Looking back, its almost like they were showcasing Thompson for a trade. His numbers were as high as they were going to be because they were very selective when he played. Platooned.

The future fourth outfieldrr.

I would have him as my starting LF or RF fielder instead of 4th outfielders Melky and Avi. Thompson can at least pick up the ball and run the bases. Hitting is a question but those other two they can't hit, field or run.

For the few Sox fans that thought Thompson was the future late last season we had all this Kirkwoods telling them he was just a guy. Maybe they should have traded for him.

Already got a full OF with 3 HoFers. Would've loved to add another HoFer but now the inside scoop is he's a spare part. Rats.

Just clarifying they are "SPARE PARTS" by the Sox fans here. Correct?

I think so. Montas was higher in my mind but was really needed due to Robertson.

Very clear and defined answer.

I couldn't have been clearer in my previous post.

I don't follow the minor leagues so I cannot speak in depth about its quality. What I do know is that these players are worth Todd Frazier in some professional evaluator's mind.

I said earlier that the trade was fair, but didn't make a whole lot of sense given how far the Sox are from competing. Now if they sign Cespedes and Ian Desmond it starts to make a little more sense.

I don't care about prospects. The point is THE INQUISITOR knows those guys werent the top Sox guys. If youre interested, figure it out. You may want to start with Spencer Adams or the guy who won the AFL MVP.
