I picked up a PS4 about a month ago, and also grabbed Injustice: Gods Among Us out of the $20 bin. It's the DC Comics fighting game (think MK with DC characters).

Very fun game. Story-mode was pretty short, but the game itself was very well done.

Also continuing to play Shadow of Mordor. Trying to finish the whole game in under 15 hours, but its not possible (100%, including survival challenges, etc.)

So, Star Wars Battlefront is basically Plants vs. Zombies? So far it looks to be a ripoff for the $89 I paid for it, but I'll have more to say after a few more days of play.

No way possible to 100% Mordor in that amount of time. It's a great game though, so you won't mind the time it takes to pursue everything. I got to the point where I was taking on Warchiefs with all their possible bodyguards and the stronghold alarm going off all at once. Nothing sweeter than getting your revenge on an Orc who ran his mouth earlier in the game.

What's your take on it? I loved part 1 but was a bit disappointed with part 2. I hear the hard difficulty in this one is HARD. I like a challenge but I don't want to break any controllers trying to get every achievement.

Yeah, realizing that unfortunately. The key is getting branding ability as quickly as possible. Once you can brand and have the ability to do two brands after charging your sword, it pretty much turns the tide of any battle. I just hate the missions where you have to sneak and can't be detected.

Hot Shots Golf on our son's PSP

Loved it. Far more cinematic (for better or worse) than the previous two and the gunplay was really top shelf. I did think the cover mechanics were hit or miss as it sometimes took too much away from the bullet time.

The story was alright, as well. Less noir and more action/thriller, going through Max after part 2 all the way to the terminal shootout was awesome. He was really at the end of his rope and just didn't care anymore which made for some cool dialogue. As for challenge...it was tough but I was on PC so the KB/M helped.

All in all I give it 8.5/10.

I gave up on Battlefront. It was fun for a while, but I need to find a new game. The Division will be out soon, probably will be the next game to get into.

I'm interested...but I hear the Destiny comparisons and I run. I want my shooter to be a shooter...not have RPG elements negatively affect my accuracy and bullet spread.

I just picked up Rory McIlroy PGA Tour this past weekend for PS4. EA really went cheap on this game. I haven't bought a PGA/Tiger Woods game since the one where they introduced the ability to play The Masters at Augusta National (Maybe 2011 or 2012). This version does not have Augusta National, among other courses, and the number of golfers to choose from is extremely limited. Wouldn't EA's contract with the PGA give them the ability to include all golfers on the tour?

There's no Tiger, no Phil, and no on any golfing legends that were available in previous installments. Tiger or Phil and others will show up on the leaderboards when you play a tournament, but you can't play as them.

The game is still fun, but it seems much easier than previous versions. With very few courses and few golfers, cmon EA, you're not even trying anymore.
