Pretty good chance he doesn't clear. There will always be a sucker for a project player from Sweden, it's just a matter of whether he gets scooped up now or traded later.

EDIT: holy shit, Rundblad's mere existence is a path of destruction. Check this shit out: drafted by St. Louis, he was traded to Ottawa for the pick that became Vladimir Tarasenko. Having ruined the chance for the Sens to have Tarasenko and Karlsson together, he was then traded to Phoenix for Kyle Turris. Finally, having robbed Phoenix of one of the only competent forwards they had drafted in years, he was traded to Chicago for the pick that became Christian Dvorak, who has 65 points in 27 games with London of the OHL. Maybe we'll get to rob some idiot team like Calgary or Vancouver and keep this chain going.

He'll be a Score analyst.

Hockey analyst on the Score, the one thing he could do where he'd work fewer minutes than he did with the Hawks.

Rundblad cleared, but hasn't been taken off the 23-man roster. Word is he could be off to Sweden, which would terminate his contract and get all of this year's and next year's hit off the books. Please let it be so.

EDIT: I suppose he could be loaned to an Elitserien team for the rest of the year, which would be the same as going to Rockford but with fewer fast food options, but it would be better to make him refuse the assignment to Rockford and terminate him.

Loaned to the Zurich Lions of the SLA for the rest of the year. He gets his full NHL pay and gets to live in Zurich instead of Rockford. Hawks have a slight overage on the salary cap but most of the money is off.
