Morin seems to have topped out at "AHL All-Star," which is fine enough because at least he can help create a winning environment with the developmental team. Richard Panik topped out at "human being with arms and legs" and can't help with anything.

I just realized I got Richard Panik confused with Radko Gudas. My mistake! Panik is just a project player who had a few good weeks with the Bolts before better players squeezed him out.

Morin never stood a chance of getting back to the NHL returning to Chicago. I really wish i knew what he did or didn't do to get on Quenneville's bad side.

Fels has intimated that Morin tried to recover from a concussion on his own timetable and the Hawks never forgave him because the Hawks don't care about concussions. This has never seemed all that likely to me. My feeling is that it had to do with not being able to adapt to the room and keep up a good attitude -- the same thing that doomed Brandon Pirri.
