Orton should be in next week, but if they are still technically alive, I'm expecting the coaching staff to stay with Griese.

I really hope I'm wrong.

Doubtful.

Lovie will spoonfeed the media bullshit about how there's still a lot football to be played and blah blah blah Brian is our QB.

What a bunch of hot air. Just play the goddamn kid so we know what we got.

I'm watching Bears Live (I don't know why) and they presented a poll saying, "Is this Rex's last game as a Bear"?

I thought if a player was injured, a team could not cut him and had to give him a chance to rehab and come back.

Is this true?

If you're under contract and get injured, a team can work out an injury settlement.

In Rex's case, he's an unrestricted free agent after the season. If this injury is going to keep him out for 1 year, it's highly unlikely the Bears would resign him.

he is a free agent at the end of the year, so no. they dont have to sign him on the premise that the might come back.

I haven't heard how hurt he is yet, so who knows what could happen. And he won't be cut if he's hurt, they'll let his contract expire after this season and he's done.
