Cinnamon doesn't belong in chili. There is something else that throws it off. I can't tell if it's clove, allspice, nutmeg, or what but it's blech.

Pumpkin spice chili.

I've heard good things about using just a pinch of cocoa powder in chili but haven't tried it myself.
