Now that Bickell appears to be banished, the only disappointing player on this team is TVR. He's gotten worse as the season has gone along.

Strange I read a national power ranking and they live TVR. Plays hard blocks shots blah blah. Anyway we have one more shot and one more goal tonight.

Gustafsson being out on short notice threw everything off. Defense is bad tonight, forwards look good.

There's one asshole on the glass on the left side who won't sit the fuck down and he's just pounding on the glass everytime the puck is near. I hate him. Wearing 27 white.

Feeling a little itchy about this third period with the way Montreal came on strong, but man, this isn't a great team without Price. Subban has had himself a bad night.

I checked the boxscore and the teams are tied in shots on goal and shot attempts. I was surprised! Felt like the Habs dominated the end of the second. Maybe not.

Habs pressed hard, great win for the Hawks. Congrats to Quenneville.

EDIT: 39/40 for Crawford, not to mention 28 more shots headed for him that didn't get to him. What a night, what a season.

Gustafsson is back in tonight, so no more Rozsival-Scuderi pairing. Our 48-hour national nightmare is over!

Ben Scrivens in net for the Habs if they don't wanna go with Condon in back-to-back road games. Ben Scrivens is an extremely cool dude, but he's getting lit up like a pinball machine.

Montreal games always inspire me to put on some Leonard Cohen songs. I've always loved his version of "The Partisan," but who gives a shit? He's old! Ed Sheeran is newer and therefore better.

You can tell the Habs are really trying to gut this one out but it doesn't look good for them. The Hawks are on a higher level tonight.

This thing is really firing on all cylinders. I don't think they win a 12th in Nashville, but now there's a real race for the division again.

It's pretty much them or Dallas to come out of the West. Everyone else sucks.

I wouldn't overlook the Kings.

Gustaffson's solid play has solidified the defense; still wouldn't mind seeing an extra d-man, but rotating Rosival and Scuderi is keeping them fresh. Toews stepping up on offense and Hossa getting some points adds another line that can score consistently.

It's amazing how this team just reloads every year with cheaper veterans and emerging young players.

I can't make sense of this season. The only teams head and shoulders above anyone else are the Capitals, the Hawks, and the Stars, and I do not trust the Stars. I wouldn't be surprised to see one of those 2012 Devils runs where a team that's just part of the pack gets a favorable draw and wins three rounds.

I don't trust the Capitals either.

I think them and the Stars will both collapse in the playoffs.

Defensive tightening and the grind of a series are going to get the Stars. Teams will settle in against them, not get caught off-guard in the midst of a season.

Not sure how it looked on TV...but live...the Hawks looked to barely break a sweat.

There was a definite look of desperation from the Habs that the Hawks did not match, yes.

What's remarkable about this winning streak is that the Hawks have gained considerable ground on the rest of the Central without very many divisional games:

Phoenix
Colorado
Ottawa
Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh
Buffalo
Colorado
Nashville

Montreal
Toronto
Montreal

Just three out of eleven from the Central, and four out of eleven from the West. The good news is that the division has been cold while the Hawks have been hot. The bad news is that means the real tests are still to come: 34 games to go, and 15 are against the Central.
