The OFFICIAL game thread, so as not to be confused with the ticket thread...

Hawks going for 12 straight Ws; Pred sputtering and have not taken off since the Jones-for-Johansen deal; maybe Torts got the better end after all?

Scuderi sits; no other changes.

Dumbass ticket policy backfires again, as there will be a decent Hawk fan contingent. Hawk go up 3-0 in the first to chase Rinne en route to a 5-3 win :P

I don't think there was any doubt that Columbus got the better end of the deal, but Tortorella won't get the better end when he fucks this up and gets fired.

At first I was thinking that he just dumped a young, raw guy that he alienated, but he did dump him for need, and the Preds could use some scoring. Johansen over a PPG since going to Preds.

Recent trips to Nashville, not so good:
12/10: 5-1 Nashville
4/23: 5-2 Nashville
4/17: 6-2 Nashville
4/15: 4-3 Chicago 2OT
12/6/14: 3-1 Chicago
10/23/14: 3-2 Nashville

Like I said in the ticket thread, this game is basically all the Perds have to play for this year, as they're going nowhere with .900 goaltending. Hawks need to be ready.

Fuck everything about that city and that franchise. That building has been a house of horrors for us lately. Just win, baby.

From the looks of things, they prefer unoccupied seats to visiting live bodies.

Plenty of red in the crowd.

Can't wait for the Hawks to score and the reaction .

I forgot how annoying "YOUR NASHVIIIIIILLLLLLE PREDATORS AAAAAAAARRRREEE....ON! THE!" and then everyone goes "POWER PLAY!!!!" is. Every time they do that, I want to go down every row kicking every groin.

Tayvo wetting his pants two sequences in a row doesn't sit well with me.

Edit: Well, I guess he really DIDN'T...

I will admit that I am not always the best judge of on-ice speed. With a game as fast-paced as hockey, I just think they're all pretty fast. But there was a sequence where I swore the guy wearing 47 was walking while everyone else was running. It was like a Chariots of Fire gag where they show a guy running in slow motion and then someone runs by at normal speed and you realize it's not in slow motion. Holy shit, Scuderi.

There was another with a really slow predator as well. In this game slow stands out. Btw, I love the 1-2-3 goals of the Kane line.

They haven't sucked in a long time! Playing the worst game of the season against the Country Club really lit a fire under them. Can you imagine what Quenneville must have been like after that one?

This team with the younger guys showing will have even CH's considerable arms around them come playoff time.

I mean, my calves and quads are big, but I consider my arms comparatively underdeveloped.

PRO TIP: if you are a goaltender and you duck an oncoming shot, the shot will probably go in.
