Looks they are going to offer 10M for 1 year to make up for the loss of Cordero.

This is either genius or insane. You don't pay a middle reliever 10 million a season so I don't believe Milwaukee's claim that Derrick Turnblow is their closer. I wouldn't have paid Gagne that money if he was the clear cut closer - he hasn't been that good, but I guess, from Milwaukee's perspective, they believe they got a guy who could be a dominating closer in the NL, and they are only on the hook for 1 year.

It's safe to say that the AL playoffs were not televised in Milwaukee.
Gagme will be the most expensive mop up reliever in the game.

You never know, maybe going back to the NL will help him out. He'd better be the closer there or that's a complete waste of money.

Just taking a little review of recent signings:

Wood- 4 million
Linebrink-4 miilion
LaTroy Hawkins- 3.25 million

That Linebrink deal is really not above market.

The 4 year deal is what concerns me most about Linebrink.
