This game will be some kind of statement for the newly coached Cavs. I don't know how we beat 'em on Christmas, but we ain't likely to repeat it! :(

How many seconds into the game before the first shot fired at Hoiberg?

Well, how many seconds will it take to finish the first one at LeBron?

I think he'll be too busy trying to figure out whether he wants to suck off Blatt or Lue without denigrating the other to even worry about Fred HOIberg with the coaching and the diagramming and the great glayvin, bu-Hoy </Prof. Frink>...

As far as I can tell, nobody likes Hoiberg or the job he's done so far, so I don't know what you're looking for.

I didn't watch a lot of Iowa St the last few years. I don't know much about Hoiberg's "system". We kept hearing last summer that it was going to be similar to the Spurs and Warriors, lots of passing, outside shooting, and moving away from the ball. From what I've seen, the Bulls don't play anything like that. They let Jimmy and Rose do 1v1 stuff a lot, occasionally throw it to Pau in the post and have the other four guys stand around, and other times just swing the ball around the three point line with seemingly no objective or purpose. I don't know what his system is supposed to be. I do know that it's really bad so far though.

One of the reasons that the system doesn't has to do with the reluctance of the self proclaimed "leader" to run it. Butler holds the ball too long for a player that's not really dynamic offensively. The system also fails because the Bulls lack players capable of running it. I wish he'd just scrap it at this point and adjust it more towards the personnel that he does have. If he really wants to stretch the floor he has to bench Mirotic and commit to playing McDermott 32+ min. per game. He is the best shooter they have.

He also has to bench Taj and start Portis because "pace" and "space" doesn't work when a guy can't run.

his system is supposed to consists of ball movement, spacing, and a lot of weak side "action". By that you are talking about a lot of guys being about to get shots because of the attention that is paid to the strong side of the court.

Systems don't matter when you don't have the talent. I never wanted Taj Gibson in the starting lineup. Ever. I advocated for the acquisition of a starting caliber three also. I also thought Joakim Noah should be starting and now we don't have him to kick around. The Bulls have the worst 3 and 4 starting combo in the league. System matters not when you are devoid of talent.

So Rose, Butler,Pau aren't talented? Then who do you say would fit Duh Mayors system?

The Bulls are playing 3 on 5 most nights. The Spurs have 5 guys that can make a play offensively in their starting lineup. So does G.S. Cleveland has 4. The Bulls have 3. Taj Gibson is a bum as a starter. He provides effort but that's it. 7 points and 7 rebounds for a starting power forward is putrid. Those are Luc Longley like numbers.

He can't pass either. He is a poor fit for pace and space. Tony Snell doesn't score enough either. They don't have to guard either of them and it bogs the offense down. Mirotic is not the shooter that he was advertised to be either.

Butler is a bad three point shooter and so is Rose. That kills the space part of the system and Gasol and Taj can't run which kills your pace. Butler is also more of a half court player so the push part of the offense is non existent.
