Stan Van Gundy???

Doc Rivers is considered to be a top 3 coach by many.

Van Gundy has now turned around 3 franchises. You may want to check around.

What?

He inherited a near dynasty from Riley, and then Riley took it back because he failed.

Orlando was hardly a success

Detroit?
He handed Josh Smith a max deal, and then paid him $30 million to go away.

Turned around can mean from good to worse

Your history is off.

Check your "facts" first.

You are wrong about Miami.
You are wrong about Detroit.
You are wrong about Orlando.

You have just pulled off the fallacious trifecta

Nope, I'm right.

He did take Orlando to a finals appearance, but it might have been the worst team to ever make a championship series.

I think '07 Cavs got that label firmly held down.

What was DB wrong about regarding Detroit? He only posted two things, and both of them were facts. I think ltg is confused.

Detroit has not even made the playoffs since he took over and they play in an awful conference. They might not even make it this year.

Pat Riley did some bullshit in Miami. I don't know which dynasty you are referring to either. Miami started 0-10 or something with Riley as coach. He stepped down and let Van Gundy take over Van Gundy turned the team around and Riley came back and reclaimed the team. That's what happened.

Joe Dumars signed Josh Smith not Van Gundy.

I see you wish to be wrong on this also. Proceed with caution.

DB and I await your apology.

about what? Joe Dumars is the person that Signed Josh Smith to the deal. It wasn't a max deal either as DB said. Van Guns cut Smith loose. I don't know what I'm necessarily wrong about.

I think SVG is a top tier coach. He was always in the playoffs with Orlando and we'll see what happens in Detroit. Had one good year in Miami before Riley forced him out. Detroit was a mess in Dumars' final years so he deserves a couple years or so to sort that roster out.

Cavs should just let LeBron be a Player/Coach. He runs the team regardless.
