I usually dig out my Henry Rollins spoken word discs once a year and getting through a few today. Good story teller.
The material is pretty old but I was pretty big into him in the early 90s.

Mental Jewelry is great, but it certainly was raw and a sneak preview of great things to come.
Throwing Copper is one of the best from that era. I wouldn't say it's perfect but it's in my team photo of all-time favorites.
Secret Samadhi was still very good.
From there it went dark. The Distance to Here and V just didn't do it for me.
They came back with Birds of Pray and Black Mountain. While Ed's newfound preachy love of Jesus was not for me, the song writing was really good. I really love both of those albums.

Then, even Jesus couldn't keep Ed from being a greedy ego-maniac and the band had to re-group with a new singer. Never got that album, but did like the little bit I heard. May have to go check it out.
