I went to the Grand Opening of Metal Monkey Brewing in Romeoville on Saturday and all I can say is Wow, what a turnout!

I did a little helping out behind the register and then poured about 300 or so beers. Man, what a turnout with a bunch of cool peeps! The guys Brett, Dan & Jason have done an amazing job getting it together and they know what the hell they're doing! If you ever go there, try the Fonkey Monker Chocolate Peanut Butter Stout or Tony's Car DIPA....such great beers! There were a few peeps from the board there as well. :-)

According to their website, the Scottsdale place has five beers on tap. Do you recall what they had?

Did you have your shirt off while you worked behind the bar?

Sit outside usually, usually order Praire path ...not a Pale Ale, Hoppy fan....Belgians, Wheats, etc is my realm.

They are running an houlry shuttle back and forth to the TPC every hour though....get a beer, get on board, watch some golf, finish the beer, got back on the shuttle, come back and get another.

Two Brothers is ok, but WAY overrated. Nothing from them has really wowed me as of yet.

Metal Monkey already are on par with them, IMO. Slight bias? Yes, but with some objective criticism as well.

Cane and Ebel is outstanding. I really like the Ebel's Weiss as well.

Domaine Dupage is terrible.

Thanks for the heads up on this, going to check this out.

YES! I really dig Cane and Ebel of any of them.

Firestorm, another great one. I don't quite remember their location, Tinley Park I think. Their Vlad is a great Imp Stout.

I'll give Two Brothers an A+ on the look of their Brewery for sure though. But it's more about the beer, IMO.

Yes, but I wasn't wearing any underwear.

Excellent beers from 2 bros, IMO:

Cane and Ebel
Revelry Imperial Red
Wobble IPA
Sidekick Pale Ale
Northwind Stout
Red Eye Coffee Porter
Hop Centric
Heavy Handed
Heavier Handed
Wouch Cherry Sour

Wobble IPA was a tad weak, IMO.

I like the coffee one though. I forget the name.
