If you're a fan of the NBA and haven't been paying attention to Rejuvenated Rondo this year, that's your loss man.

Fuck Rondo in his ear ... I hope his legs fly off into the crowd tonight.

This is where I go meatball. I'll never forget rondo's punk move on Hinrich when he tripped him from behind while driving for a layup then later fought with him. I think it was the 2008 playoffs. Screw him. Yeah he's flourishing but he had to go to the basement of the NBA to do it. Have fun in basketball hell with your little statistical rejuvenation. Is he the one that stays back on offense while the four other Kings play d?

I get the Rondo dislike, but that's pretty disingenuous. He won a championship, has always stepped up in the playoffs, and took on LeBron and the Cavs in the 2011 playoffs with literally a dislocated arm and still played well and kept them in that series. This isn't a good stats on a bad team guy.

He was the fourth best player on that Boston team. Not bad but not like he led them to a ring. Anyway he screwed up his chance at post-Boston success by being a bitch in Dallas. If you can't play for Cuban and with Dirk then you can't play anywhere. He may not have been a good stats only guy in the past but that's what he seems to be doing now.

Couldn't disagree more. He never wanted to go to Dallas, and he was a horrible fit there, as I said on this board at the time of the trade. Carlisle's system depends on having spot up shooters in the backcourt, and is basically tailored to the complete opposite type of player that Rondo is. It was pretty obvious that that was a horrible fit for both sides basketball wise.

Also, in regards to your good stats on a bad team thing with Rondo, it's worth noting that this is his first year as a King, and the Kings are doing better this year than they have in a decade.

Given how sorry this team and franchise has become, makes sense for the Kings to win so as to improve their chances of getting the Kings draft pick.

Stacey King and Neil Funk sure seem to be applauding the increased amount of ball movement tonight.

It sounds like they're applauding all things Moore. He might be the starting PG soon. Bulls would be up by 30 if Butler was playing.

Hoiball sure looks better tonight. Granted Sacramento is not exactly known for their defense. This is the part of the game where iso Buckets would be in full bloom.

I'm not sure what slight you're attempting toward the Bull with the most assists on the team.

Eye test is awfully critical. If you don't think Butler plays isolation ball, then you really haven't been watching the Bulls. King and Funk keep making reference to the increased amount of ball movement.
Those are not so subtle shots at Butler.

Numerous references to the "offense that Hoiberg envisioned". Not coincidentally I might add.

Butler has been involved in far more scoring plays than any other Bull. Eyes and statistics confirm. Whatever Butler does works. Isolation and drive. Drive and kick to a shooter. Draw a foul. Hit a jumper. Find the open man under the hoop. He does it all.

And if you think King is taking shots at his man crush Butler...you're dumber than ever.

Butler is a 2 guard. He's not a point guard. I hope that clears up any lingering questions you had about Butler facilitating, ltg.

Why would they continuously make reference to it then if they are not talking about Butler. Also. 2 guards can be ball stoppers too. In addition Butler went to Hoiberg earlier and called for more isolation plays. It's obvious whom they are talking about. The only way Imu would be able to comprehend is if they literally said that the ball is moving more is because Butler isn't playing.
Imu's lack of basketball acumen is at an epidemic level.

Butler has the right of it. Bulls are most successful when he is the man.

My point about positions is that most two guards aren't creators. They are primarily scorers and their assists are largely a byproduct of extra attention paid to their scoring ability. Butler performs well in this role. Your criticism of his lack of ability to move the ball is off base. You seem to want to be wanting to force him into a role that does not complement his natural ability. I don't think you'd fare well as a coach.

No arguments here.

I understand what you mean by not necessarily having to be a creator. In Butler's case he holds the ball too long and forces too many shots though.

He also wants to play iso ball while not being a great or possibly good one on one player. Everyone was criticizing Hoiball, but it is becoming obvious that Butler has been the person most resistant to running the offense. He went to the coach for the purpose of running more plays for himself.

Bulls employees are going to be pro Hoiberg. They get paid by the same people that paid and like Hoiberg. Butler gets paid regardless so he can be turned on. I don't think you get to have an offense named after you ("Hoiball") if you're an embarrassing six games above 500 at the midpoint of the season with probably the most experienced team in the conference. This team can easily get knocked out in the first round given the inconsistency and sloppiness. If Hoiberg can't integrate one of his best players into his offense, then that's on the coach. If Butler is insubordinate then that's a problem, but it's also possible that Hoiberg simply doesn't know how to get someone with Butler's game involved into the offense. That's simply inexcusable.

EDIT: Also, Im not trading away a player to keep a coach. If the coach is named Popovich or Phil Jackson, then okay. But if your name is Fred Hoiberg, then you're out of luck.

Horrible fit maybe but not exactly an honorable exit from that team. Gives credence to the rep he had in Boston for being petulant and selfish. Glad they're doing better but it's also telling that he could only find a home with a clown of a franchise with an owner who wants to XFL the way the Kings play and with a GM who was not qualified for the job at the time of his hire. In any case, he's clearly talented outside of scoring but you're a bad Bulls fan if you like Rondo. He's like the Starks-lite of this era. For shame, FF.
