per the shift change yesterday, Goff is off until 2/23. Vacation saved up that he has to use, or something.

And don't worry, for those who are curious about Jason's personal lifestyle, he said he's chilling in town with Shep.

I have to admit I will probably miss Goff if the next two weeks were going to be shitting on GarPax. Rozner is the main fill-in, so I guess more hockey talk instead.

Should give them time to beef up the console.

They have experience with adding reinforcement from the work they had to do on grimace's chair. You know the one DiCaro uses too.

He's probably exhausted after beating the shit out of Carm & Jurko in every ratings book.

Pretty sure Goff takes this time off every year right after the Super Bowl... unless I am thinking of Larry which could be.

I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, but yeah. Once again, I'm left to question what the standard terms of these deals are. I mean, you're a radio station. In terms of on-air talent, you'd think one of the priorities would be to have the hosts hosting their shows more often than not. Yet, from what I can tell, compensation comes primarily in terms of paid days off. It has to be at least, like, a month of vacation per year. It's fucking crazy how much time Score hosts miss.

I will give Bernstein his credit for showing up everyday.

Maybe it is out of complete fear of losing his job, but he rarely takes extended vacations.

Fact is the job isnt that damn hard that you need the time off.

It's especially bad with the midday show, where between Mac's long peacing out, Mannelly busting, Spiegel missing tons of time, and Goff missing his share as well, the only continuity that daypart has had has been Nick Shepkowski producing it. Maybe he ought to host.

I have a feeling Dan doesn't enjoy hanging out at home if the family is there or not in bed.

Ratings success = Rewards

i.e. Vacation Time and other perks.

Agreed. That's another thing I like about Bernstein. At least he shows up. It's sad that that's actually praiseworthy, but there it is.

I thought I would try listening with no Goff. It's a better show, but Rozner still sucks... He's convinced that Q hates Teuvo. Has he listened to most of Q's postgame comments on him or looked at his ice-time? If you want to know what Q thinks of a player, just look at his ice-time. You knew Q hated Leddy when Leddy was parked to the bench during the 3rd period of important games. That's not happening to Teuvo. You would think someone who follows hockey would know to look at that.

Barry, like every one else at the Score, has pre-determined narratives for every team/sport. That's the extent of their discussion. It's unfortunate that he follows hockey, yet can't go beyond his same, tired talking points.
