Biggest joke in team sports, or at least in the picture. Started with drafting a 29 year old in the first round 3-4 years ago. Probably a different GM at the time but whoever did it should have been fired a second after he hung up the phone confirming the pick. Now the Manziel drama and the usual irrelevance on the field. At least they got the dumbasses in Indiana to give them a first round pick for Richardson.

I will bet Scorehead $1000 that Manziel does not throw a pass in an NFL regular season game in 2016.

didn't they move up to get Manziel?

I doubted the guy as a QB based on skills alone. Frankly, he has been better as a player when he has been on the field than I expected.

His attitude was always questionable. He cared more about demeaning opponents than being great.

Some smart team is going to sign him as a backup and hope he cleans himself up over a year or two.

I still say the Browns mismanagement of him was worse than his mismanagement of himself.

Not even a question he comes to Dallas camp.

Outside of talent, nobody even wants him around, except Jones.

Jones is far less involved with personnel decisions than he used to be, I doubt they take him. They got burned with Hardy and Manziel isn't even 1/10 the player Hardy is.

I was a fan when he played for A&M, but this is too much. The kid crumbled under the pressure. ESPN didn't help with their TMZ coverage of his life the last 4 years, but he has to take responsibility. I doubt he'll ever be listed as a starter again in the NFL.

What seemed odd to me is the police saying at first no charges and then now all these details and charges. Something weird was going on at first.

I usually try to defend troubled players, but I can't agree with this. Manziel showed up to practice several times while drunk. Combine that with multiple allegations of pretty severe domestic violence, and I think it's fair to say Manziel cost himself a shot in the NFL much more than any mismanagement from Cleveland did.

For the obvious and easy reasons, Jones will want Manziel there.

Trust me the "he is reformed" speech will be coming....not saying he will be, but its coming.

Football reasons, Romo cant be relied upon for a full season. They ran through all the used up QBs available and cant spend real money on a QB.

It makes football sense to bring him to camp on a minimum deal.

The other stuff is another story....but if there is one team that has shown "tolerance" for past "mistakes"....well its Dallas....Remember you can drive around with your open beer and a gun in your car, while pulling into a drive thru for more beer, in Texas.

What everyone seems to forget is that, mismanagement or not, Manziel sucks balls.

You do remember last year when there was the "he is reformed" speech after his first trip to rehab?

I'm a little bit dubious of the "showed up to practice several times while drunk" story especially when it comes out now. I'm guessing he was hungover but I doubt he was the only Cleveland Brown to do that.

Obviously now Manziel seems out of control and needs help.

Correct.

Personally and professionally.
