There is a reason some guys are meant to be bench guys and others starters. Gibson at best should have only ever been a bench player. I felt the Bulls were cooked once they placed him the lineup because it meant that Hoi berg was never going to give Noah a chance.

Also you said Noah wasn't playing well prior to the first injury. The guy was getting 10-15 boards a game and 4-5 assists while playing about 20 min per during that stretch.

IMU said in the past, maybe even in this thread, that he came to like Noah. You keep saying he thinks Noah is not good. Noah struggled this year due to injury, which is understandable. Boozer started over Gibson but Gibson always finished the fourth quarter while Boozer sat on the bench. That speaks volumes.

At the time Noah was having a stretch of games where he was playing well at least in my eyes. Stats beared it out. Everything up except shooting percentage. Imu posted stats which he believed suggested Noah wasn't playing well. He was critical of Noah also. He then suggested that Gibson should be either playing more or starting. I inferred that to mean that he didn't care much for the guy. Why wouldn't i? It was the period right before the first shoulder injury.

You have also said that he hasn't had much impact. Then why are they 4-10 since he became injured. While we are talking about closing games, Gibson failed to secure two rebounds which could have helped win games last week.

The Bulls slide coincided with Noah's injury. It has to have had an effect.

Rose has been out there with the starting unit. He is the starting unit. So have others. Noah only started two games. Why is his positive?

To you he seems to get outplayed. Only to you. This is why you have 1) analysts and 2) statistics. You are not savvy enough to be an analyst, and you don't understand statistics.

You bring absolutely nothing to an NBA conversation.

There are cause and effect issues here that you are over simplifying.

guys like you say that a guy avg. 8 and 8 is playing "great". You have really nothing to base it on other your own personal feelings about the guy.

Conversely Noah was playing well during a period in which he avg. 10 plus boards and 5 assists. I also think he had a few Wilt type performances during that pd. Yet he wasn't playing well and Gibson should play in front of him.

I outclass you when it comes to this stuff because you can't really assess the game without cherry picking stats.

I'm sure that you were unaware that Noah received votes for all NBA last season. Not bad for a guy that is not playing well.

You're a lightweight but as I said before I admire your fighting spirit. You're the kind of guy that "loves the game", though you are not particularly knowledgeable about it.

I appreciate the fact that you engage in discussions in all fairness. Not a lot of guys on here care about the NBA and it's obvious that you do. That's definitely a positive.

I'm not placing entire blame on Gibson. That's wouldn't be fair. He is and has been a net negative to me though. I never thought he was starters material. Guys overrated him for a long time. If he is your starting 4 you are not a good team. I have always felt that way.

Now that he is starting that theory has materialized. His lack of production hurts the team. Boozer was a 9+ rebounder throughout his career. We hated him. Much better offensive player too.

Gibson is a good defender, both on the ball and in help situations and that is it. He does nothing to help a team offensively. The ball sticks when he has it. He can't pass either.

In terms of defense he isn't a rim protector nor does rebound well. He is avg. At best. His shooting percentage is a mirage because his buckets come inside mostly.

It's not all on him, but he is not doing nearly enough as a starter to help the Bulls win games.

it was a actually a compliment, of the backhanded variety. In all seriousness you don't mind talking about this stuff. Rightly or wrongly, its a good thing. It is all opinion for the most part and I tend to have strong ones when it comes to hoops. You have them also which is cool in my opinion. It makes for a better debate.
