They rotate divisions you play every year.

Next year the Bears play the AFC South (Colts, Titans, Jags, Texans) and the NFC South (Saints, Bucs, Falcons, Panthers)

Only two games are decided by your record. They will be NFC teams. The two games this year were the Seahawks and Saints. Bears had to play those two division winners because they won their division. Next year those 2 add on teams will not have been playoff teams. They still could be good. It's the NFL. But maybe they'll suck.

By winning % the Bears have played the 2nd toughest schedule this season. Mainly because our own division turned out to be pretty good this year.

So here is next years schedule. Home and road games will be announced in March I think.

Packers
Packers
Vikings
Vikings
Lions
Lions
Bucs
Saints
Panthers
Falcons
Colts
Titans
Jags
Texans
Undetermined NFC East team
Undetermined NFC West team

Oh shit you're right. We play the AFC South next year. They are next in the rotation. I'll correct it. This year we played the AFC west. Last year the AFC East. Like you said, in 05 we played the AFC North. So it is the AFC South next year.

It could never be the same divisions per year. You're rotating 3 NFC divisions and 4 AFC divisons. We obviously play the NFC North every year. We do play the NFC south. I did get that right.

This sucks. AFC South might be the best division in football. Colts, Jags and Titans. Pretty good teams.

Colts host the Bears next year at Lucas Oil Stadium. Should be good times.

Depending how the Bears finish (probably last place), they'll play the 49ers and Redskins next year.

Seeing how bad the NFC South has been this year, it might be a relief to play them next year. I know the Panthers have had a lot of injuries, but they never seem to pan out. The Saints were a one-hit-wonder last year. The Buccaneers are beatable and the Falcons just plain suck.

What worries me though is the AFC South. You have a great team in Indy, the Jags are good, the Tits are only going to get better and Houston is improved.

That schedule looks pretty rough. We can barely beat teams from our own division, how the hell can we expect them to beat teams from another division?

The Bears are 3-1 against the AFC this year.
