2013 was a pretty shitty year for Rizzo. We only have two seasons of MLB info on Abreu. Unfortunately for Rizzo supporters, we have a lot more for him. Abreu crushes Rizzo when you compare their career averages. The rest of this is just misdirection to avoid the truth.

That wouldn't be kind to Abreu. He's a worse fielder and base runner than Rizzo. He's better at hitting for average and has a tad more power. Rizzo has the better eye.

Rizzo is 26 while Abreu is 29*.

Intangibles are "who knows".

Sounds like a lot of Cubs fans are lining up to make an OPS bet this year!

ff, abreu could be possibly better at this point of time given we're only working with 2 years of performance. i'm biased to think rizzo is better.
