I'm whiter than Mike, and this bit he did this morning aroud 7:10 offended the hell out of me.

It'll be replayed at 9:20. I have even less respect for Jen-Jen as she was also in on this - But then pricks like KS are going to criticize us for insulting The Engine - Hey Keeping Score aka Keeping Tabs, what you do have to say about the golden boy and his latest racial jab now?

needless to say, i thought it was one of the weirdest and most offensive things that this moron has ever done. not to mention, not funny at all.

It's not OK I guess to classify Jews as Flim-Flammers. But it's fine to throw out racial stereotypes like blacks are all dealing crack to white women and carrying guns and they all like big butt women and they all talk in street slang.

The basis for the "skit" was bogus too. Tookie is seeking life in prison, not a release from prison. He is trying to avoid the death penalty, not trying for release which was the spoken basis by Mike for the skit. And how sad that knuckleheads like Jen, Buch and Rock play along, while Annie says nothing when its over. Sad, sad sad.

I didn't hear it. Could someone please elaborate, beyond it was racist. That I don't doubt, but what was the bit? What was the content? Etc.

Ok, as you know, The guy named Tookie Williams who was the founder of the L.A. gang the crips is in jail, and he's turned his life around. Well Tookie says he wants to do childrens books, so Mike does a version of Little Red Riding Hood that as if it was told by Tookie. And it was pretty much Mike in a very ignorant sounding voice (trying to sound ghetto) using a lot of 4 letter words like "Bitch betta hav my money"...


And suprisingly, there are no responses from either the resident black man of the board (SPMACK) nor North's balls holder (Keeping Score) - I'M STARTING TO WONDER.....are these the same guy? Anyone notice that this KS person didn't start coming around until SPMACK's stopped posting?

The only way for Mr. Williams to ensure success for his future children's books is for him to partner with Mr. AF/PB for editorial remarks and a well known Chicago ex-sportscaster Mr. Goldman for fresh ideas.

KS, we’re going to butt heads from the start here because, personally, I don’t support the death penalty. However, our current system, no matter how faulty or hypocritical, endorses rehabilitation. That was my point.

I listened to the replay of the bit after someone posted it here on the board...I was offended. I understand that Tookie Williams is not a role model and I don't mind that he was made fun of because he is a murdering bastard, but to assume that because he is black that he speaks in ebonics is stereotypical and racist. I enjoy edgy humor, but this was just tasteless. I could picture Mike in the studio with burnt cork smeared all over his face mockingly recording this bit. Humorless and classless.

When has Mike North been disciplined for doing anything?

Lets set aside the general opinion that it was racist and replusive. Lets also set aside the fact that I am glad I had already dropped off the kids when this came on (yeah I know, the Score plays ads for strip joints, thats why I usually wait until they leave to turn it on).

Setting all that aside, the bit was stupid!!!! I don't know what was worse, the parody (which is an insult to real parodies) or the lame sucking up after it was over (oh, haha that was so funny mike).

This was nothing new though, same type of the crap that has been coming out of this show since it started. I just couldn't change the station until is was over, its not often you get to listen to something that bad.

I happened to hear that bit and all I could think was that I was embarassed to have been listening. I was/am embarassed because I wasted my time listening to that crap and recognized that as a part time listener, I was included in their target audience for which advertisers must have little or no respect aside from disposable income. It wasn't funny, it is as usual a joke attempt at embracing a "real guy/wise guy" attitude that some at the Score think sells, and even worse, very well may. But ultimately, it was the lowest common denominator radio that passes for entertainment until 10am on that station.

Like noted above, this has nothing to do with Tookie Williams or any other person on Death Row, or simply walking the streets. That man was scum, even he admits it and I am greatful that I don't have to live my life with the burden he now has to carry(or at least pretend to), nor deal with him and his petition for clemency. The bit was classless, unfunny and evidence of not only the simplemindedness of the morning show, but the lack of a spine or concern by Score management.

It's funny, on another thread a North defender openly talks about dishing out a beating or two to "people" like Bernstein, while on the morning show, North and his syncophants talk tough and toss this kind of crap out. Someone else here even asked for a Black reader/listener to respond. What the F do I/we have to respond to? A jackass on a website that talks tough by figuratively screaming how he(?) could kick Bernstein's ass, or the jackass and his supplicants who are all tough talk, cheap shots and full of (excrement). Is it really necessary to go down that road? Or do I as a fairly large brother just sit back and laugh secure in the knowledge that when or if I or another Black man like myself walks past cowards like that (who hide behind a keyboard or the ridiculous attempt to call it comedy) those cowards will either cringe, cross the street or piss their pants.

I would never complain to an advertiser nor to a station mgmt., it seems like a bitch thing to do, I'll just go the other route and never listen to that clown again... although I will share a couple of thoughts with K Smooth and the Chairman, I'm a dyed in the wool Sox fan and I have long been sick of that bastard talking about how well "we"(the Sox) played, or who "we" should have hired, or who broadcasts hungover on "our" shows..so excuse me on that one.

douchebags like Rock and North want this kind of reaction, no matter what low they stoop to. The best thing is to not listen or post at all. I'm sure those couple of weeks when Johnny B came back and nothing was really posted here killed Rock and North.

And by the way, Chicago management doesn't care about any input they receive.
