Bruce is just Bruce. He is a baseball reporter working for the Score. I know Sox fans dislike him, but he is a Chicago reporter, not a Cubs reporter. Going Sloan to Camelback is close to an hour, depending on traffic, so you do need to pick a plce for the day. Sure, Bruce is going to side more to the Cubs for a number of reasons this year, but if your career is made up of just covering baseball, you are not identified with WSCR....you are just "Bruce"

Pretty sure Bruce paid his way out there in his first year with WSCR as they just hired him and didnt have the budget to send him. Which still blows my mind how you dont have some money to pay for the guys trip out there....unless you know that he will pay for it anyways, then harbor the ill will and thats Rod Zimmerman in a nutshell.

The SCORE is so cheap compared to ESPN 1000. They have a beat guy for every team at ESPN 1000 and they travel with the team for all the games. The SCORE just has dumb ass David Shuester covering all the teams and no travel. Just the home games. I guess Bruce now. But they don't travel him either.

I was thinking the same thing. If this is the first year of the contract and I'm Mitch, I'd fly my morning and afternoon shows down there to broadcast for at least two days.

Yes he is a Chicago reporter. I've never felt he was unfair to the Sox. Quite the opposite...he's kind of an equal oppotunity ass-licker for all teams. I dislike him because I think he's bad at reporting.
