So, now you got nothing and had an exepected crappy rebuilding year.

And if anyone wants to tell me all they would might have got is a 4th round or 6th round pick...well, they just spent MILLIONS on a 4th and 6th rd pick.

I didnt want Forte traded, but I didnt want to happen the way this did...you just let him go and you got nothing. For a team in rebuiding it was a mistake and poorly executed organizational choice.

If you remember, he hot hurt a week or two before the trading deadline. So they couldn't.

The fact you waited until last weekend is foolish and you can trade a player based on conditional production. Done all the time.

I wanted Forte traded, a 5th round pick could have helped out this draft and everyone knew we wouldn't re sign him.. Poor job from the front office on that one.

Bears traded a 6th rd pick for TE Khari Lee, who had 1 catch for 7 yards....and I do think much of Forte issue was ownership saying not to trade him.

I blame the the GM, The season was over @ week 3 and he didn't want to believe it.. Reality set in a month later but Forte was hurt.

I know he was dinged up, but I just dont think that stopped the trading. If he didnt play for someone , condition would have been owing the bears nothing.

Another top down request in my mind.

extra later round picks would have given them the ability to draft the kicker Aguayo, out of FSU. I know they have several 6 rounders but I'm not sure that gets him. That would save money as well as they could cut the very high priced Gould.

I want to agree with you but Forte on or off this team really makes not difference.
What I find telling is he signed with the Jets for an unimpressive amount....leads me to believe most other teams thought he was done.
