He's my favorite Bears player. He's funny and smart. One of the few Bears with a fun personality. More importantly he's a hell of a player.

I remember defending him last year when a lot of people criticized him here. I said he was a top 15 corner back in this league. This year he is a top 5 corner back. He doesn't have a lot of picks cuz they don't throw his way a lot. He shuts down his man. He's probably the best tackling CB in the league and the best at forcing fumbles. He should make the pro bowl.

I'm glad Angelo locked him up a couple of months ago. Bears got him at a nice price. Had he played the season out you know some team would have gave him an offer far greater than what the Bears paid him.

Top 5 might be a stretch, but I would say that he is certainly underrated on a natinoal level. Agreed with pretty much everything else, including the favorite Bear part.

I was at that game Moss/Peanut game. It was right in front of me in the Northeast end zone.

He is top 5. Champ Baily and Al Harris are up there too. I think I've seen Champ beat more this year than Peanut. And I've only seen a few Broncos games.

Bear claw, of course.

I remember defending Tillman before the season when about 90% of the board contested that VASHER was the top CB on the team.

Does anyone else think Vasher would have been back from that injury if he hadn't already gotten his contract? That is an angle I have not heard but I think one that is very valid. He may not be dogging it but he sure has hell has not given it his best effort to get back at a critical time.

Wouldn't it be the opposite Dolphin? Wouldn't he not be in a hurry to come back if Vasher didn't get that contract.

You don't know that for sure.

I'm a part of your 10% that thinks Tillman is a better corner than Vasher.

I'm in the 10% too. I remember a few years ago when people were down on Nutty.

Tillman is a more complete CB. He usually does well man to man and in a zone. Unlike the rest of the team he makes tackles. He matches up well with most receivers and is quick.

Vasher has a good nose for the ball and I think that's what most people see.

I had kind of hoped to go through life without ever hearing the name Greg Blache ever again.

Neither does John Shoop for keeping the defense on the field so much.

Didn't he have a severe groin injury? He worked through the bye week to get ready, but I guess he doesn't have the fire & the passion for you GD.

Vasher and Tillman are good complementary players. Tillman is more physical and Vasher is the faster of the two. Both tackle very well. Each is probably a top 15 corner. Tillman looks really good this year because he's playing alongside inanimate carbon rod, but when both are on the field, Tillman gets thrown at more often. That doesn't mean he's bad, he's just the lesser of two evils.
