Pace gets the best available guy for the most needed position on D. Bobbie Massey also good signing at RT, while Long moves back home to RG.

I like what I'm seeing from Pace in F.A. Bears making moves to be a contender next year.

No more excuses for Cutler. Bears should draft QB at 11, because they won't be this low in the draft again for years.

More glaring needs than a QB at 11.

Not a game changer. A minimum requirement for keeping up with other teams.

Current Bears:
Older, overpaid, underperforming QB.
WR depth sucks.
Special Teams suck.

Pace better hope that Kevin White is the second coming of Calvin Johnson and they select a stud on draft day at #11.

Team still has a long way to go to beat GB and Minnesota.

They had Minnesota on the ropes last year but failed to come up with a W and of course beat GB once. I only see the Bears getting better with a good draft of course. I like Pace.

It looks like Danny Amendola is going to be cut by New England. any interest, Bears fans?

I'm interested in his wife:

6-10 and couldn't win home games.
#7 overall pick - drafted an injured player.

So far, I've seen nothing but hopefully that changes.

Bottom line...Pace inherited a huge mess and has a lot of work to do. Despite some improvement, Bears do not appear better than GB or MN for 2016.

Have now heard 3 "sports talkers" get on the "Anyone who says the Bears are cheap doesnt know what they are talking about"

Pfftt.....The Bears are cheap! The fact they have more cash than they know what to do with, and TRY to put on the face of a team that isnt cheap is a big issue.

Also, THEY HAVE TO SPEND 89% of the cap as a Minimum! The only real challenge in the NFL is trying to not exceed the cap! When you gross $400 -$500 mill , you literally cant find places to spend the money....unless you have an inheritance tax issue looming over the organizaton and you have a sinking fund for that.

61,000 person rented stadium from the park district is really all you need to know.

Pace said he would take a QB if that's the best available guy at 11. You have to bring in Cutler's successor at some point, so better that he's taken at 11 than somewhere in the 20s the next few years.

If not, I would be ok with a stud LT or speed rusher at 11.

Langford is not the answer at RB. They need someone better there as well.

Langford is almost definitely not the answer...I think this year's QB class is kind of weak...I don't think the right answer is in the high end of it.

The likely answer will be defensive help at #11.

Maybe another WR? I don't know what this class has.

For their needs and where they're drafting at...I'm thinking Ragland from Alabama as a LB.

I could also see Vernon Hargraves from FL as a CB if he drops to 11 or Elliott from Ohio State as a replacement for Forte...

No, because we don't have Tom Brady and the New England Patriots coaching staff to make him look good.

His wife is more than welcome tho..

If he can be better than whoever the Bears had on their roster playing RT not named Kyle Long he should be good enough. But yeah, his metrics are shit.

Check him out on this play against Bama in 2011 at 1:56. He's on the right side.

Not only does he block his guy away from the play, he then pushes him back another five yards until the whistle. I'd say that's a player.

Most Super Bowl winners look back to the day they signed an inside linebacker and right tackle as the day their championship run started.

Welll, there wasn't too much to complain about the last time they got it right with Singletary and Van Horn.

That's nice Rube, how many videos of him doing this in the NFL can you find?

Don't read me wrong here, I hope the move works out because I'm a fan -but you can't deny his metrics at the NFL level suggest he hasn't lived up to his potential at the next level yet. Hopefully that change starts this season with the Bears, but the numbers are against it.
