Yeah, I can agree with it for the most part. It may border on our midwest bias; though, I don't find Iowa, Illinois and Indiana fans at quite the level of annoyance as the others.

There used to be a Michigan State bar on Lincoln near BW3's in Lincoln Park. I remember going in there once and wanting to set the place ablaze, but I won't paint a broad brush on that one experience with their fans.

I'm sure there is an SEC school that should also be in that list.

I have a lot of Illinois alumni among my family and friends and none of them go out of their way to shove it in my face. When we get into discussions, I have never heard the stuff that Dan throws out on a constant basis. Just saying.

Well, his issue has always been more with the townie fans in the Hardcore American South of central Illinois than with people who went there. But U of I athletics mean nothing on a national stage today. There's nothing to hate or resent; the Chief Illiniwek crap went down years before the culture warriors moved in. Maybe that will change once Lovie Smith starts cranking out some winning seasons.
