Mrs. Newper really wanted to get a dehydrator for a variety of reasons, so we did. Got a middle of the road 6 tray from Amazon, and very happy with it so far. Second run with beef jerky is going right now. Anyone else dehydrate and have any good recipes? I took some pineapple slices the other day and sprinkled some Mexican chile powder on most of them -- a very nice mild heat. For four of them, I put on some balckening seasoning on them -- great heat, really awesome... making those again for sure. Last night took a baby watermelon and sliced it up with some kosher salt -- pretty damn good!

Made dog treats all the time in dehydrater from veggies...so they stayed longer ...crunchier...worked well.

Got a 5 year old Bull Mastiff and a 7 month old Black Lab -- very different dogs, and finally starting to see some peace between the two.

Mrs Newper has issues with feeding "human food" to dogs -- even stuff like apple slices because she thinks it encourages the dog to beg when a human eats it. I "accidently drop" food like that on the floor.

The neighbors have a 5yo boxer and they just got a frenchi puppy. Their boxer is depressed and protesting. Even my dog ignored the old one over the new one.

She's right about the food. Especially with a Mastiff.

Some Boxers can definitely act out when they aren't the center of attention

We had a boston that lived to 14. When the kids were in high chairs they thought it was great fun to throw food on the floor for the dog. During the baby food years that dog became quite tubby
