This team blows
Butler shooting 36% since his return. I'm willing to give him a little slack on that. Maybe IMU can come up with an advanced stat or some form of analytics to illustrate just how well he has been playing. Porzingus dominated Taj last night also. didn't see the game. Box score and highlight watching though.
The Bulls will have to blow this thing up after next year. Rose's salary should be cut in half. Butler's role as best player should be reevaluated. Gasol should be allowed to leave this year. He is trying to get him a parachute type contract. Let Noah roll after this year. Trade Gibson for a bag of golf clubs after this season. It's a wrap. The championship window, if there ever was one has closed on this team.
The widnow closed last year. If Hoiberg is their guy, they should've been everything up last off-season and let him restart from scratch.
I think they wanted to make one last run with Gasol, Rose, and Noah to be honest. They knew that they couldn't move Rose, Gasol was cheap given the production, and maybe Noah would still be able to play at a high level. It all revolved around Rose. Can't trade him so you might as well make a push if you really think that you have high level talent.
Problem is that the Bulls have guys that are injury prone. Not only that is that have guys whose careers have been offset by injuries. Rose,Noah, and Gibson's careers have been changed due to the excessive amount of injuries that they have incurred.
