I'm putting this tool up for DB of the Week for lecturing an Oregon player about showboating after Oregon handed Dook a loss last night. Hey Coach K, why don't you worry more about the antics of your all-American Grayson Allen, who has intentionally tripped opponents on at least 4 or 5 occasions this season?

I hear what you are saying (and I was rooting for Oregon), but there is no way that the last shot should have been taken.

I have a couple of problems with Coach K. There's an unwritten rule among coaches that you do not talk to the players on the opposing teams. Should the last shot have been taken? No. But don't be a bitch about it if you're the other coach. This isn't the first time Coach K has had words with an opposing player after taking an ass whoopin...

Secondly, and as I said above, he has one of the biggest punks in college basketball on his team who has intentionally tripped opponents on more than a couple occasions this year. Any coach with a spine would have made sure his player would have never done that again after the first time he tripped someone. Worry about your own damn team dude.

Third, he tried to lie about his comments after the game because he knew he was wrong and should've just shook hands and left the court a gracious loser. Speaking of handshakes, Grayson Allen, the guy with the tripping issue wouldn't shake hands with some of the Oregon players.

I really can't stand this rat-faced prick. I lost all respect for him when one year, when early in the season it looked like he had a shitty squad so he bailed on the team due to a bad back. He also wanted the losses taken from his record after he was out. I don't know many coaches who would have gone to the efforts he did to make sure this was done,

He also had a run-in with an Indiana player (Hartman), at Duke earlier in the season.

I forgot about him being an ass in the handshake line after he lost his third game in a row in a loss at Syracuse. The headline says it all... http://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2016/1/1 ... basketball

Bravo, well stated!

Thank you, RR! When Grayson Allen is your star player, you forfeit the moral high ground in terms of sportsmanship.

He's just expressing himself. It's good for the game. Damping individuality with unwritten rules makes it less enjoyable for fans. Civility is just a code word for "old white male rules for society".

I am not sure why anyone would expect a college coach that is a legend and held as royalty would act like your ideal.

He is a legend in his own mind and royalty is a bit of a stretch. He is a total scumbag just like Roy Williams and Barfhiem. I only hate Alford worse but he is not even a so called great coach.

That's my point. They are all like this. Some just pick and choose the ones they like or don't.
