do you not credit presumed sobriety as the main reason for his excellence this year? the only reason he stopped partying was because he almost f-ed himself last summer with the incident. so the incident led to a changed man which partially led to this spectacular season. it comes full circle

He had a terrific season in 2013, as well, which was when he spent the lockout drying out in Switzerland with his mom. Kane has never had a bad season (his worst was 2012, a "mere" 66 in 82), but when he's off the sauce, he's one of the five best hockey players in the world.
