My review of last night's episode...

zzzzzzzzzzzz

This show is starting to lose me. The pacing is awful. I'm just not finding Jimmy's journey to be all that interesting. Mike's stuff is good, but that only makes up about 10% of the show.

I still like it enough....but I have been fast-forwarding through certain scenes. That's probably not a good sign or endorsement.

It's like they are trying to fit in too much symbolism and vague foreshadowing. It slows the current story down too much. One of those shows where you always feel like you are missing something.

I still really like it, though. You know Kim is going to have a bad ending.

At this point I think the show would be better off focusing on Omaha Saul as opposed to what its doing now.

That's going to be a third show that premieres a year or two after BCS wraps up.

I agree with WZ on Kim. Any scenes/storylines with her, Jimmy, or Mike I'm good with, and that's most of the show. Chuck, Nacho, Howard, and some of the other supporting characters are all solid. I like that watching the show reminds me of watching a Breaking Bad-esque show just with how it's shot too.

This week was definitely a set up episode. I did like the Colored suits thing.

No way is the show losing me though. It just set such a high standard in the first 3 episodes it was bound to level out a bit.

Ill bet the season finishes great.

The suits were supposed to look bad but most of them actually looked good together. Sure the salmon colored looked like it was taken from the Frank Costanza fashion line, but nothing else screamed out "bad lawyer".

i'm assuming the last 2 episodes are going to be pretty intense--but i really liked "fifi". i like that both chuck and jimmy took all they could out of themselves to sabotage each other. jimmy with staying up all night to go through extreme pains to fuck with documents (which it looks like it comes back to haunt him in next week's ep), and chuck with almost bringing himself to his grave by making sure he didn't see kim keep her client.

if it wasn't already obvious, chuck shows he can be "slippy" when he needs to be. i mean, he's a lawyer. but he presents himself more professionally and "by the book".

This is one of the things I find most unbelievable about the show. That Jimmy and Chuck are on opposite sides of an issue and outsiders actually believe the guy wearing the tinfoil hat instead of simply dismissing anything he says.

I sure hope not.

A Jimmy vs Chuck legal battle could be great.

I'm sure the judge will reflexively believe the guy wearing the foil suit.

Well if Chuck gets better and doesn't have his episodes, he and Jimmy going at each other could be great.

Look how Jimmy got him with the stupid street number. Chuck is too arrogant. He doesn't know how to fight dirty the way Jimmy does.

LOVED this last episode. Maybe the best one of the series so far. Every scene was just great and had a lot of tension, even low stakes scenes like the filming by the school.

Chuck has to be dead or damn near dead. No way he's coming back in a few episodes healthy enough to argue against Jimmy in court. Having him die from that would be fantastic writing, could be similar to Walt/Jane in terms of a turning point for Jimmy/Saul. I think the change to Saul could be coming as soon as the beginning of season 3. On that note, I loved reading the following...

Quote:
Some very crafty "Better Call Saul" fans, looking for a hint at what's to come in next week's finale, may have cracked a code hidden in the episode titles of this season.

READ MORE: Review: 'Better Call Saul' Season 2 Episode 9, 'Nailed,' Can't Escape the Truth

On Reddit, Twitter user @Sirena6783 is identified as the first to catch that when you take the first letter of each episode title — "Switch," "Cobbler," "Amarillo," "Gloves Off," "Rebecca," "Bali Ha'i," "Inflatable," "Fifi," "Nailed" and "Klick" — you get the letters S, C, A, G, R, B, I, F, N and K.

Unscramble that, and here's what you get: "Fring's Back."

That would, of course, be a reference to Gustavo Fring, played by Giancarlo Esposito, who first employed and then terrorized Walter White during Seasons 2-4 of "Breaking Bad." Timeline-wise, Los Pollos Hermanos was founded in Mexico in the late '80s and would have been an established business in 2003 (with Fring's drug operation running along with it). So Fring could very well resurface in "Better Call Saul."

The two reasons we believe this: One, the title for next week's season finale — "Klick" — is deliberately misspelled...because the "K" would be necessary to complete the word "back"? Two, the "Breaking Bad" universe has always loved Easter eggs like this. (Buzzfeed has a great roundup here.)

"Saul" did successfully surprise us with Hector Salamanca (Mark Margolis) earlier this season, so sneaking Esposito back to Albuquerque is certainly not beyond the show's capabilities. So we're now even more excited about the Season 2 finale. And we didn't think that was possible.

But those giving him the benefit of the doubt knew him for the brilliant lawyer he was and/or they dont know about the craziness.

A perfectly poetic way to go out, too. He dies trying to expose Jimmy as a fraud, as he lived, and Jimmy is just one step ahead of him. Also perfect from Jimmy becoming Saul perspective.
