goff had gar fired yesterday afternoon.... bernstein called it a goff bomb.... I'll have to admit it's just not quite as good as your typical Woj bomb... mainly because it appears goff's assessment was... off

minimum 3 years Gar is still here.

Some of the NBAers here still dont understand shit about the NBA and "CONTRACTS"

GarPax is going to get the chance to rebuild this team, but they still haven't broken down this team! Thats the plan next year! Break it down! Dont know if it makes for a good slogan for ticket sales, but thats the plan. Get what you can for the players who will not be here in 2018, when the rebuild starts. Fred will be the rebuild coach as well.

That rebuild might start right after the trade deadline next year as well.

It absolutely was. I can't tweet him, though. He blocked me long ago for responding with "imminent." He is Tad Thin-Skinned.

The lack of blowback to Goff on this today shows two things:

1. He has no accountability.
2. No one must pay attention to what he thinks.

#2 should be enough for Goff to eat some humble pie, but we know that won't happen. I think he's all set to takeover for Terry on the afternoon show: he can check the box of talking to one source, creating a rumor, then pretending that he didn't say it. Pull up a chair, you're Bernsy approved!

Goff is the worst. I will listen to anyone on the SCORE but him. Criminy I even tolerate Mully.

So Goff blows another one. Him and his sources. I swear to God, they're probably club bouncers, NBA hookers or the like.

Quality Señoring right here. Gar is definitely fired unless he isn't in which case he never was.

Honest question. Has Goff ever had a scoop where he was actually, ya know, correct?

I don't think he does it much. Maybe in Atlanta he did.

But he's 0-2 from what I know. "Lebron to the Bulls" and "Gar Foreman is Gone".

you just have to know coach bernstein has had several conversations with goff over the years on how to phrase something to make it sound 100% certain but at the same time leave yourself an out clause

I'm not one to rely on a degree as conclusive evidence of intelligence but it takes a special type to fail out of SIU

He's usually right about the identity of the person providing the scoreboard updates during breaks.

that is correct, that's exactly what Joe said. The funny thing was he didn't say it in a mean way, but it was unintentionally hilarious...

Goff is doing the preemptive defense of LeBron against his haters in the playoffs. He does the same thing with D-Rose. Goff fails to see why these guys are disliked by certain segments of the population, and it amazes me how blind he is to this.

Frankly, I think LeBron is fine, but it is fun to root for David against Goliath. I always pull for the underdog when I don't have a horse in the race. But folks are always going to hold the Decision against LeBron plus the bitterness from him choosing Miami over Chicago. Simple as that.

Nobody answered my question so I'll take it as a "NO". Goff has never broken a story where it ended up actually being correct. Cool.

C'mon, Goff. Get one!!!! Just one.

Did Goff report that Gar would be fired?

Why not just do what Bernstein does and report it in a way that he's right no matter what happens? Something like 'people in the organization tell me that it wouldn't be surprising if Gar was forced out with the tough season after high expectations, but he has a lot of support with people that matter'.

It's pretty clear that he "reports" these as a response to his twitter feed or Internet researching.
