I could be crazy, but I think the Wolves could be a pretty good team in a couple years, despite McHale fucking up the Garnett trade (in that he obviously could have gotten more).
Al Jefferson is a stud, and they locked him up with a decent contract. That's going to be a nice piece to build around. They got rid of the clubhouse cancer (Ricky Davis), and although they took back Antoine Walker, he seems to have accepted his situation and actually isn't playing all that bad. When his contract comes off the books, they'll have a decent amount of money to go after free agents. I know, free agents don't exactly flock to Minnesota, but in today's NBA landscape, fewer and fewer teams have cap space to sign a big contract. That could help them.
Their young players are promising too- Brewer doesn't look so hot right now, but McCants is actually developing, and they've still got Foye coming back from injury.
I think if they make a splash in free agency and add a role player or two they could be right back in the thick of things
