I've bought too many race bikes and jog carts in my time. I'd be really interested in memorabilia type stuff though, old pictures, etc. When they closed down Roosevelt Raceway they just dumped all kinds of great stuff in the garbage. Somebody was able to rescue a whole lot of it. For awhile they had a re-creation of our stable up in front by the suites that were named after great horses. I wouldn't mind grabbing the Pinske tack trunk.

They got the drawing of the track nicely framed and stained with years of smoke embedded!!!

JORR will know the name of the place , it was on irving just west of Ashland, on the S side. ________ Brothers? BBQ? Was there for years...went in and sat at the bar and they had the old NE Pats helmet up there. The white with the PATRIOT in 3 pt stance. The guy brought it done for me to look at and it was almost Yellow from the years of smoke. Later that night, washaed my hands a few times, couldnt get the cig Stink off!

A bid was submitted to the bankruptcy court while the auction was ongoing. Apparently someone bid on the entire Balmoral property as-is. Hearing tomorrow morning. Someone trying to save that track? Too bad it wasn't Maywood instead (closer for me).
