The idea that this thread was created to lambaste Julie's update gaffs, and the lack of a Rongey counterpart is...[just sayin'/sexism] is the mother of all strawmen. Plenty of update anchors flub lines, but those same "other" update anchors aren't also raging, indignant, SJW's on twitter. Come off it, already.

I can't speak for anyone else. I listen to WSCR until noon. I actually don't mind Julie's updates. She doesn't screw up as much as the prior update lady. But her Twitter feed is sad.

CJ highlighted a still frame that showed a Sox fan in front row with head buried in phone as Jimmy Rollins roped a double, made a passing joke about "your parents paid a lot of money for those seats [and your head is in your smartphone as the home team hits a double]". Keith Law finds it and gets really, super asshole-y about it, calling CJ a sexist because he "highlighted her gender" and assumed that a woman couldn't buy her own ticket.





To me, the "highlighting" is merely to show clearly which fan the remark is in reference to in an image with 29 human forms all doing different things. And the age assumption, while a bit condescending, certainly isn't sexist.

Keith Law is a thin-skinned bitch, from what I've seen on Twitter.
