Stephen Johns would look good on this roster right about now. Shame about Patrick Sharp fucking other people's wives. And on that note, even if the Hawks manage to stop letting a 1B goalie rock a .962 sv% against them, they don't have a path past the Stars, who made the Hawks look like they didn't even belong in the NHL on the nights they played.

That is probably the biggest pile of shit trade that I can remember though there are plenty I don't remember. They got absolutely nothing back, held on to Bickell and had to give up Johns just to clear salary.

There have been trades I wasn't 100% crazy about (Bolland to Toronto for low picks, Versteeg and Nordstrom to Carolina for a bum), but nothing to give any thought to after the fact. A trade that greatly enriches a division rival with a top-six forward and a prospect and brings nothing of value back takes the cake.

Hawks are down by 1 game folks. Not 2 or 3...1. We know that the Hawks start slow and get better as the series goes on.

Everyone said that when the Hawks were down 3-1 vs the Wings...and down 0-2 vs the Blues. There is lotsa Hockey left to be played. They win game 4 and its a 3 game series.

Whether or not they beat the Blues, this team isn't good enough this year to win 4 series.

Crawford has been awesome.

If you take all 9 periods + OT into account, the Hawks have probably been slightly better. Even at worst. But the Blues are up 2-1. That's hockey.

79/85 for Crawford, 105/109 for Elliott. Crawford is making big saves, but the Hawks are chucking everything at Elliott and he just keeps stopping. He's not even their #1 goalie.

Chicago Blackhawks in the NHL playoffs since 2009:

Games 1 to 3: 28-31, -9.9 u
Games 4 to 7: 44-14, +23.4 u

(from April 15 ... now 1-3 is at 29-32)

(Also, they're 13-7 in Game 4s)

Hawks are shooting everything but the Blues have been better. Not by much though. Hawks can still take this series.

That doesn't sound right. Feels like it's happened a few times this season.

Well Zach just said it during an update, so it has to be true.

That has to be playoffs. Didn't they blow a 1-0 lead to the Blues when they went empty net in the last minute last week?

I think their record was 73-0-4 the last 2 years going into the third with a lead. First regulation loss in 2 years.

Bring back Alpo or Savard. Better yet, just make the Hawks ambassadors the new coaching staff!

It was Chicago's first regulation loss when leading after two periods since Game 2 of the 2014 Western Conference finals against the Los Angeles Kings. The Blackhawks had been 70-0-4 since the start of last season when they had the lead at the beginning of the third, according to STATS.

Once in a while Darkside, you really make me chuckle. "Donnie Veal, so young so tender." I believe that was yours.

I just got the same call, no idea where our seats are, but he told me they're really good. Hopefully I can continue my streak, I was undefeated in the playoffs last year (2-0).
