Has anyone been watching "Lucha Underground"? I watched all last season and everything up to now and I have to say I am greatly entertained by it. It is funny to see some of the former WWE guys on the show (John Morrison is Johnny Mundo, but Rey Mysterio is still Rey Mysterio). The set-ups are good by using interesting little soap opera angles for just about every match. The wrestling is not too bad either. Really good-in my opinion-is the announcing. Matt Stryker and Vampiro work well together and are very entertaining.

I looked at the credits and was surprised to see that the program is produced by Mark Burnett, as in the guy who brought us "Survivor" and other so-called reality shows. Interesting that he took a spin into the wrestling world for a new program.

Yes I like Lucha Underground a lot.

The announcing has gotten better as in the beginning there was a bit too much reference to this not being WWE.

Burnett and Robert Rodriguez took an idea to have an "Americanized" version of AAA and gave it a look and feel that is really unique.

The only bad part is they lost a ton of money on season 1 as the production value was way above most other wrestling companies. Hopefully they curb the losses some with season 2 and the upcoming season 3.

El Rey network.

Caught the Aztec Battleground gimmick match episode. It was a cool twist on the Royal Rumbel kinda match.

Striker and Vampiro on commentary is quite solid.

The ring announcer is worth the price of admission.

Here's Prince Puma-sans mask-wrestling for NJPW. Check out the clips that are posted with this story. Tell me he wouldn't be a crowd favorite in WWE. https://www.yahoo.com/news/see-wild-hig ... 53604.html

Lucha underground is awesome, just got into it this season. A fried of mine showed me a video of Matanza Cueto's debut around mania time so I went back and watched last season's Ultima Lucha and then caught up. I love the different approach to storytelling with highly produced backstage segments. The wrestling is pretty good as well, there's only one guy there I can think of who I consider a bad wrestler. It amazes me how many guys I've seen before who are much better in LU(ex. Johnny Mundo, mil muertes). Also Pentagon Jr is the shit.
