Top notch food. Throw it on some white bread with spicy brown and onions...delicious.

My grandma used to buy it for my dad, I'm not sure why. I am not a fan.

Truth be told...the first time or two I had it, as a kid, I don't remember liking it that much. But as a teenager I started to like it. Probably helps that I know to stay away from the Oscar Meyer one.

Being German...not many great things to eat. Have to appreciate the few that are edible.

edit: Jay's Ridged are my go-to side. Just not on the sandwich. I'm not 8. :)

My dad used to make me bruanschweiger and marshmallow fluff sandwiches as a ute. They were tasty as I recall, but I also liked spaghetti-os at the time.

Used to like it with just bread and yellow mustard. Haven't had in years and I would be afraid to read the label for cholesterol and such.

You should try a mayonnaise sandwich today for lunch and let us know how that works out.

I used to love a liverwurst and mustard sandwich as a kid. I need to have one again soon.

Also good on Saltines if you buy the more spreadable 'tubes' of liverwurst.

No, I would never, EVER eat Braunschweiger.

I just wanted to make a "clever" pun. :(

Good on wheat flavored club crackers as well.

Would buy Braunschweiger for my dog when he was sick, so I stick the pills in it.

Its essentially chopped liver.

Go get a good steak if you are going to go that route.

It is liver sausage. Kind of a pickled Scooter if you will. But many of you will not and I do not blame you.

I should try it again someday, because I like terrines and some pates. One of these days I'm going to get my fat ass over to Paulina Meat Market because I know a bunch of city folk who rave about it, and that seems like the type of thing where they'd do a good job with it.

liver sausage sandwich beats steak for ability to sit in a locker for 5 hours before eating.

You're right. At least it is better than Polish cuisine.
