FWIW TNT trio just stated that Westbrook is wearing Curry down by relentlessly attacking him on offense.

Wondering what the broader point is here. It's well known that Curry is a liability on defense and that putting him on Westbrook is a joke.

yeah, curry's defense isn't the issue. he's been the same non-factor on defense all season. it's going 2-16 from 3 and missing wide open looks at 2's/3's/layups/free throws.

i don't think curry sweats it that his guy is lighting him up on defense. westbrook and many others rang up ~30 points on Curry during the season and Curry's offensive game lifted GS to the win much more often than not.

The broader issue is that shooting 3s is akin to hiking Mt Everest

The broader point is that guys rarely attack Curry. This reluctance is counterproductive because it allows him to mostly play one side of the court. In old school basketball coaches would exploit that match up much more. It wouldn't just be Westbrook level guys either. You would see clear outs ran at him by guys with Waiters talent level. NBA playoffs are always about matchups. This series is being won because Westbrook is dominating this particular matchup. Didn't see anyone predicting this prior to this series.

I honestly didn't see much of their regular season matchups. I did see Curry checking him this year in the parts of games that I did watch. In previous years Curry would never guard Westbrook. It would always be Thompson. Curry bulked up a little this year. He is a little stronger and more willing to play defense this year. He isnt good but he does guard his position more than he used to.

They are going to take him off Westbrook tonight. I would be shocked if he guarded him for most of this game. They will probably start him out on Westbrook to save face. Somewhere during the middle of the first quarter they will switch Thompson over. Bookit.

Not as much analysis as it is more a prediction. Would have been perfect for the now defunct Murph "I predict" segment from years gone by.

Well if the prediction is as widespread and well known as I'm stating, then how come no one else has provided it? I know because they are too busy making excuses as to why G.S hasnt swept OKC already. Better yet, arguing over meaningless shooting contests.

NBA making it clear Game 6 is going to happen.

The cheap OKC ownership has no issue with another home game of ticket revenue.

Steph Curry looks a whole lot more effective all of a sudden. Doesn't have to guard Westbrook anymore. That would be my guess.

When Stephen and Klay are hitting..they ain't losing..lotta game left tho..I've always thought this was going 7 and the winner is raping Cleveland.

He didn't take any practice jumpers during warm ups.

not watching this game cuz there's a freaking game 7 on..checking the stats:

Curry's 1-4
Klay 0-4
Green 0-2

from 3. FavreFan could shoot better than that.

OKC is consistently breaking Golden State down off the bounce. They are turning it over too much and not shooting well from outside. Fortunate to be as close as they are.

I'm actually pulling for OkC..I want em rested n sweep The Cavs .. It shows how shorty a coach Brooks was and how over rated Kerr is.

Curry is being guarded differently. They are switching every screen regardless of matchup.
