That would be exactly zero teams.

Lost 8 of 12. Steve hates the Sox more than he likes the Cubs. Completely normal.

3-5 starters have been fine actually. Rodon is going to be a beast at some point this year. Just need to bullpen to bounce back.

Agree on Rodon but I thought I heard they have lost literally every start from the #5 spot this year? (guess they were counting Danks as 5)

That's an issue, I think

They won Gonzalez starts twice (Texas and Toronto), and he has not been bad at all. Latos has 6 wins, and they won another of his starts as well.

The bullpen has been shaky recently, and Abreu has been bad. Find that more troubling that the lack of all-stars in slots 3-5.

If I were to make a prediction, I'd say the Sox scuffle along playing .500 ball over the next month. They have a tough schedule until about June 28. Then they will gain some ground in July.

On July 1st when Wheeler is back and Harvey probably figuring it out by then, there might be 1

Cubs and Nationals off the top of my head. Cleveland, if all their starters are healthy.

Lets look at the series since I said they were going to start to experience a "correction" and give up first place....

Orioles 2-2
Red Sox 1-2
Twinkies (only winning series)
Rangers 1-2
Yankees 1-2
Astros 1-2
Royals 1-2
Indians 1-2 (with 1 game remaining in the series)

The only thing that went wrong really, was the Indians and Royals struggling more than I anticipated. So it will have taken a few extra days, the prediction was right on the money.

This reminds me of that dude that predicted the end of the world like 4 times.
Remember that guy?
Yeah I really don't either. Maybe the preacher guy from poltergeist 2.

This is largely as I had predicted it, except that the Silly Party won.

They are poised to lose their 5th straight series and 6th out of 8, with 1 split and just 1 winning series VS the lowly Twinkies. My prediction may not have worked out so that they dropped out of first on the exact date I predicted, but the prediction of them going on a streak that will lead to their demise was spot on. Not having the exact date is trivial.

So what is the new date that the Sox won't see first place again?

Except that you didn't say the Sox would have a slump. You gave an EXACT date of 5/23 of the last time they would see 1st place, and even said "it will probably be well before then." Now that are you wrong, you are changing things around.

Everybody knows what you said, and everybody knows that you are full of shit. Its awesome that you double down on saying stupid things almost every day here. Instead of just saying "Well I was off on the date, but the Sox sure are struggling" which is not only true it would have been completely humble, you continue to make yourself look like a jerk trying to convince everyone that you were correct. This is part of the reason as to why a lot of Cubs fans here hate you even more than they hate the Sox.

Anyone who thought the Sox were a legitimate contender was delusional. You let your hopes for a good season get carried away when they began the season with a good streak that had them 13 games over .500 at their peak. But it was fools gold. It was built on performances by guys like Latos, who's history showed he would regress significantly. Now Sale and Quintana have even failed to win games in their last 2 starts. It's not as terrible a team as they have looked like over the past couple weeks and I still think they will finish around .500, even a few games over. But the team is not a contender and never was, in spite of their fast start to the season. People who started threads like this one should not be disappointed as much as embarrassed, that they got so carried away with a team that was just playing over their heads for a little while.

You keep on saying this.

How many games out of the wild card/division race will they end up?
