You wanna bunt for a hit when your team still has no hits in the game? That's fine, because I'm burying my hardest fastball into the side of your head the next time you're up, burrito.

Probably on a porch somewhere sipping iced tea and extolling the virtues of owning land.

Credit where it is due.....I liked the hustle into 2nd on what would have been a single for most players. I hope the warm weather is going to have him contributing more regularly now. Still think Maddon should drop him in the lineup to a lower spot.

Going for the series win with Lester tomorrow. Gotta like their chances. Great to see Jake looking like Jake today. I hope Lester continues to perform as he has in his past couple starts. Over the past couple weeks, he's been the best starter.

That's it. Who wants to kick Steve in the balls? We could setup a charity event and give the money to the Rainbow PUSH Coalition. $25.00 a kick.

I was referring to Bryant but don't let that stop you from one of your rambling, obvious baseball posts.

Lester 7-3 2.06 ERA seems like a huge favorite, facing John Gant 0-0 6.17 ERA 1.71 WHIP. Gant is the TBD pitcher after injuries necessitated a call-up. He has now been recalled 4 times from the minors this season, though he has pitched only 11 2/3 innings.

Who does Steve think the bust is? Bryant?

I must admit I don't read these threads for just this reason.

My first thought was Heyward, too. Things must flow a bit differently over in Peoria.

I'm assuming PM was mocking the posters who called Bryant a bust.

This guy's Gant has a bizarre delivery... it's sure to fuck the Cubs up badly.

So the Lexus run predictor says that when the opposing team has a runner on third and no outs Cub pitchers give up a run 100% of the time.

Yet Deshaies just said that Lester twice has gotten out no out/bases loaded jams this year (one was against Atlanta IIRC).

take that run predictor stat and shove it

a runner on third is only one man on base....
bases loaded = 3 men on

I find it low-level obnoxious for those two dopes to walk around the home team stadium with a flag representing the visiting team.

Same. If a Braves fan suckerpunched one of them I wouldn't blame him/her.

So I don't get how Ross was called out ... or, rather, I don't see how the rule applies in this case.
