I never knew it was highly rated.

I was unimpressed with Gemato's. Tried it a few years ago.

I used to live behind that parking lot that used to be some kind of hardware store with a scenic view of the Brunswick Zone.

It wasn't Gemato's back then.

I never knew it was highly rated.

It's been on a few of those "Chicago's Best" type shows, and I tried it a couple times. It just wasn't very good, even for suburban BBQ standards.

DARK HELMET

Who is he?

COL SANDURZ

He's an Asshole, sir.

DARK HELMET

I know that. What's his name?

COL SANDURZ

That is his name, sir. Asshole, Major Asshole.

DARK HELMET

And his cousin?

COL SANDURZ

He's an Asshole, too, sir. Gunner's-mate, 1st Class, Philip Asshole.

DARK HELMET

How many Assholes we got on this ship, anyhow?

All, but few, stand up.

ALL

Yo!

DARK HELMET

I knew it. I'm surrounded by Assholes. (pulls down mask) Keep firing, Assholes.

I don't generally either but the one at Schmaltz's is very good. Even better is the soup that has everything in it, can't remember what they call it. But it's a meal on its own.

Mish mash soup.

Or Mish Mosh? But, yeah, that's it.

If only there was a machine that we could use to look this up...

I briefly considered getting some Schmacon to see what it tasted like ... I opted not to in the end ... anyone tried it?

Never been to Schmaltz, but I went to Burt's Deli in Libertyville yesterday for the first time. Been around for over 40 years, but I never saw it as its tucked into the side of a strip mall on Milwaukee. It was featured on Chicago's Best recently which is why I went there, saw the name and it looked familiar.

Tried their signature sandwich, the Yummy. Hot pastrami and corned beef with melted swiss, mustard and horseradish on rye. I skipped the horseradish. Sandwich was as good as it sounds. Definitely right up there with Manny's.

I hear ya, but I really dislike horseradish. When I was a kid I used to leave the table at passover during the gefilta fish course cause even the smell of horseradish disgusts me.
